Westco Development, a subsidiary of EastCo Development, originally founded in the northeast, with satellite offices in Connecticut and California, Westco Development is currently focused on California because of its vibrant, entrepreneurial business climate and its international acclaim as a tourism destination.

Westco Development primarily provides services in securing all entitlements, approvals and permits necessary for ground up development. Westco Development is also skilled in Asset acquisition/ Disposition, leasing, development, construction management, marketing and other advisory services.

Westco Development's CEO and founder, Robert Castells, with over 30 years experience, was a partner of Starwood-Ceruzzi from 1985 to 1995 prior to establishing his own firm. Starwood-Cerruzzi is a private REIT formed between Starwood Hotels/Starwood Capital and Ceruzzi Properties, where Robert Castells served as a Principal/Executive Vice-President of all Starwood-Ceruzzi real estate divisions. During this period Mr. Castells was involved in the development in excess of 6 million square feet of office parks, shopping centers, mixed-used projects and 30 full service hotels. The hotels were sold to Starwood Hotels separately from the private REIT Starwood-Ceruzzi.

If the client's land location and the demographics are positive, Westco Development can ussually not only find the appropiate tenant for the site , but often because of our experience and relationships we have a high success rate in getting the tenant to commit and enter into a long term initial term lease by providing the tenant with the reason why they should open a store at the given location.
